RIP, Justice Scalia
Though I'm not usually one to care about such things, to be honest I was surprised how quickly the discussion turned political, even among top Senate leadership and not just on twitter and in comments sections. I guess neither side had anything to gain, politically, from the usual "stop politicizing a tragedy" line in this case.
Anyway, what you might not know is that along with his good friend Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Scalia was also a big opera fan. Here's a picture someone dug up of Ginsberg and Scalia as supers* in a production of Strauss's opera Ariadne auf Naxos:
